Technical Support Representative 1

Job Summary and Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic technical support to customer via email, phone, or other methods; does not work on site unless accompanied by a more senior technician.
  • Possess a basic understanding of the organization's products and services, but escalates more complex inquiries
  • Primary job functions do not typically required exercising independent judgment

  • Provide telephone technical support to customers and/or employees regarding technical aspects of assigned products

  • Answer specific questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of assigned products
  • Apply diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures

  • Enter trouble ticket notes into the notification system
  • Escalate complex problems to Senior level Customer Technical Support Specialist or Supervisor

  • May also provide technical support to company employees
  • This is not an engineer-level position
  • Input part warranty and sales orders


  • Associate’s degree in Electronic Technologies or equivalent 1-2 years of technical customer service experience
  • 0-3 years of experience in the field or a related area
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
